Atamerica or also commonly written @america is
the cultural center of the United States located on the 3rd floor of Pacific
Place, SCBD, Jakarta. @america was officially established in December 2010 with
the aim of introducing the United States through discussions, cultural
performances, debates, competitions, and exhibitions.
This cultural center is the first in the world
to be built with advanced technology. Visitors can access information via a
wide touch screen, free ipad usage and wifi network, stage show with presentation
screen, live tweeting screen, and a giant Google Earth machine called Liquid
Galaxy that allows visitors to explore the entire Earth, space, to the depth of
the sea. The gigantic Google Earth engine at @america All events at @america
are free registration and free of charge.
Although it is a cultural center of another
country and is part of the US Embassy program, @america provides opportunities
for Indonesian communities and speakers to come forward every day. As well as
the performances and speakers of community leaders and communities in the
United States, @ america also provides information on the lives of Muslims in
the United States living in peace and harmony, as well as the various figures
that characterize the history of the United States.
